BOROUGH DRAW A BLANK : The story of this game was the fact that the Bacup defence was literally caught short and the excellent display from the Stone keeper David Dyson during a wind swept game in Staffordshire.
The main talking point from this game was the straight red card for the Bacup defender Gareth Wager who inexplicably left the pitch during a stoppage in play from which it is alleged that the player was caught short, this incident happened whilst the official was booking Lee Oldham for a foul on his counterpart....Full Report |

| |
Wednesday 11th January 2012 |
| |
Bacup have completed the loan signing of former Leeds United keeper Ryan Jones, the six foot plus keeper as now been cleared to make his debut from his present club united states federation club richmond kickers.
Ryan is one year into a three year contract with Richmond Kickers & will return back to them in time for their new season from which their transfer window closes on the 16th of april.
Bacup borough manager Brent Peters commented "This loan move is ideal for all parties concerned, Richmond Kickers, Bacup Borough & Ryan himself. It is currently Richmond Kickers close season, the fact that Ryan is a Liverpool lad, it gives Ryan the chance to keep himself fit and ready to return for the start of their football season. Peters finished by saying "I am looking forward to Ryan making his debut which could be saturday, the lad certainly does posses the profile and with it comes some football league experience" |

NO NEW YEAR CHEER:
Once AGAIN Bacup Borough have come away from a game from which their overhaul team performance certainly never warranted defeat but again it was the story of one individual not undertaking his responsibilities within the set up of two second half set pieces, a situation which left the Bacup Manager Brent Peters Fuming....Full Report |

SEVEN MINUTES OF MADNESS ENDS WITH LITTLE FESTIVE CHEER:
The Local newspaper back page leader was Christmas Gift For Bacup Boss, this referring to the recent signing of Flixton’s Arran Hevingham, if that was to be the case then it was like the child with a Christmas Gift that could not be opened on Christmas Day as the League informed the Bacup Manager that Arran must serve a one match ban on Boxing Day for accumulation of five bookings. Ironically his last booking picked up was against Bacup, if this was not bad enough, Peters was without the services of Adam Turner, Gareth Wager, Tommy Turner & Kingsley Williams.....Full Report
