GIANT KILLING BACUP: Bacup Borough stormed into the next round of the FA Cup following a scintillating second half performance against Evo-Stick First Division opposition.
Bacup could have taken an early first half lead when what seemed a lack of understanding between Ben Proctor the Clitheroe keeper and his defender, had the Bacup striker have anticipated it would have almost certain led to an opening goal...........Full Report

BOROUGH SLUMP AT HOME: Bacup Borough won the possession stakes but failed to find the cutting edge against a resilient Colne to suffer another disappointing defeat.
Whilst over the ninety minutes what very few chances were created from either side it was Bacup the most dominant team with the Bacup keeper Jon Paul Lewis constantly out of the action but on twenty nine minutes he found himself picking the ball out of his net, this following a Matthew Tindall strike............Full Report

IN MEMORY OF SOPHIE LANCASTER |
| |
Tuesday 24th August 2010 |
| |
The picture below show Club Captain Davey Luker, Manager Brent Peters and John Robinson captain of Ramsbottom United prior to last weeks game, wearing 'T' shirts in memory of Sophie Lancaster.

As everyday passes and the years go by all our thoughts will forever be with you Sophie, the pain, the sufference you must have endured, the pain, the sufference the heartache that the love of your life Robert will continue to feel, the hurt, the pain the sufference that all your familly and friends will live with forever, this following that painful night in a Bacup Park.
You may be with the angels in the sky, forever will your soul never die, you will always be an inspiration for the next generation, so sad your life had to be taken but always memories will live on.
RIP Sophie

BOROUGH GIFTS CONDEMN THEM TO DEFEAT: If ever a team went from hero’s to zeros in the space of one game, then this was the team, the entire same team which did go toe to toe with their previous opponents to earn plenty of accolades, for all the bouquets that did come their way then and deservedly so, then in this game the entire team with the exception of the goal keeper should be hanging their heads in shame as they all were a total collective embarrassment to their Management team that have stood by them all with exemplary comments and also the Bacup supporters that had made the trip to Bootle. ...............Full Report

BACUP'S DERBY TRIUMPH At 7-43pm both sides were United Supporters and all in paying their respects impeccably during the minutes silence in respect of the third anniversary of the death of Sophie Lancaster who was attacked in a Bacup Park.
At 7-45pm this is where any mutual respect did end with both sides from opposite ends of the Rossendale Valley going head to head, Ramsbottom almost took an early lead when Captain John Robinson got in behind the Bacup defence but was denied a goal by the reaction of the Bacup keeper Jon Paul Lewis, in fact it was the visitors that were working some good positions in the opening minutes but the Bacup Defence stayed resolute............Full Report |

BACUP PROGRESS: Bacup Borough earned themselves an home FA Cup Tie with a home tie against Clitheroe following this three goal win at Flixton.
In the first forty five minutes the home side were being ripped apart with Bacup Borough’s creative football, as early as the third minute Bacup Borough’s Johnny Lomas struck the Flixton upright with a spectacular over head kick following a free kick which had been awarded for a foul on Lee Oldham. ................Full Report

BOROUGH CLAIM FIRST POINT: Bacup Borough collected their first point of the season thanks to a fifty third minute penalty, once again with more clinical finishing that their approach play deserved this would have been three points in the bag.
Bacup started really brightly dictated by the pace of Martin Cosgrave who found Daniel Cocks who’s quick feet were too much for Padiham and a free kick was conceded, Davey Luker struck the ball but the Padiham keeper was equal to it..............Full Report
