Bacup Borough 0 v 1 Glossop North End

Bacup Borough went down to a single 30 th minute goal by Hartshorne, the goal came from a situation from which the ball was played from the Bacup left to their right, the Glossop left full back made a late run unopposed to get involved with the move, he got onto the ball before cutting inside the bye line before picking out Hartshorne who had pulled off Laquan Esdaile the Bacup centre back enough to guide his effort goal bound which came off the underside of the cross bar.

The Bacup Manager Brent Peters commented on the goal by saying “ This was a typical example of my players not being switched onto their responsibilities within our team shape when we conceded possession, Peters added “ when that ball was switched and their full back got involved in the build up that responsibility did lye with either Tommy Turner, Haydn Paul and Matthew Hampson who were all fully aware of their duties, all it needed was communicating with each other and the nearest player dealing with him, neither happened so it was no surprise the full back created the danger unopposed, hopefully this will be a lesson learned in the future
